Blogging for Emo
Filed under Sentimental Thoughts.I realize that people blog or in a non-internet person will say “writing your shit for the world to read” so that they can release pent up emotions. I saw my 2 favorite sites today. I won’t link out not because I don’t love them but because i don’t want them to know this blog exists.
If you read post after post of sad story, depressed musings and other ‘negativity’, how do you feel? I feel relieved. That they choose to make their personal lives public is commendable because the alternative is horrible: keep it all in until they explode.
I also blog because I love sharing my life online. though if you can guess what site my main site is, you’ll know that I am every bit the soulless marketer. I promised not to promote this site, and if you will believe it, I haven’t felt the need to do so. Yeah, like all the other blogs I own, this site was created with my personal feelings in mind.
Personal. There’s that word again. Someone just told me that my main problem is telling people that ‘this is who I am’… as if my only hope of surviving this dog-eat-dog world of blogging depends on my ability to keep my emotion (and my real feelings) in check.
But I am a passionate blogger… if there is such a thing.
EDIT: Ok, dam it, I caved in, I decided to promote the content of my personal site. I AM a soulless marketer after all.
