Most yuppies who want to be seen will eat at fancier restaurants and diners, particularly the famous ones. These restaurants go by reputation, which stem directly from how well they treated their customers and how good the food is. Not all restaurants are the same, some are better than others.
Before you go someplace to impress your boss, it’s advisable to scout for the best restaurants. Hype isn’t everything. You have to find out why there’s hype about the place, and how much of it is just due to good marketing.
Interview real diners and discover what they liked about the place. I use this service, Dine.com, because the people here don’t pull punches. Local people critique restaurants wherever in the world you are. Better be safe than sorry.
